Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ShubhMilan, operated by ShubhMilan (sole proprietorship)(the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), collects and processes personal data.
1. What we collect
- Birth details you submit: names (optional), date, time and place of birth for the two individuals being matched.
- Consent records: the time and IP address at which you gave consent.
- Payment metadata: order and payment identifiers from Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials — those go directly to Razorpay.
- Usage analytics: standard, aggregated analytics (pages visited, device type) to improve the Service.
2. Why we process it (purposes)
- To compute your compatibility score and generate your report.
- To deliver, store and let you re-open your purchased report.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We process birth details only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time (see Section 5). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your birth details for advertising.
3. Who we share it with (processors)
- Anthropic — the computed chart data is sent to the Claude AI API to write the narrative text of paid reports.
- Razorpay — payment processing.
- Vercel / Neon — hosting and database infrastructure.
4. Retention
Free-score submissions that are not purchased are retained for up to 90 days (so you can return and upgrade), then deleted. Purchased reports are retained so you can re-open your link, for up to 3 years from purchase or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier. Payment records are kept as required by law.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, by emailing support@shubhmilan.co from any address, quoting your report link. We respond within 30 days. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, and you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
6. Children
The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly process children's data; submissions confirming otherwise are deleted.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, report links use unguessable tokens, and access to production systems is restricted.
8. Grievance Officer
Reach our Grievance Officer at support@shubhmilan.co. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days.
